Unreinforced buildings could crumple in earthquake

Many residents have no idea the walls around them are at a higher risk of collapsing in a major earthquake. Engineers estimate there are roughly 1,800 of these so-called “unreinforced masonry buildings” in Portland, but they don't have an exact number.
