Intelligent Design as well as Panspermia both Deny Darwinian Chance Evolution
I was thinking the other day that many of those people who want UFO disclosure by the government believe that life here on earth originated somewhere else in the cosmos. They are not only looking for human origins and see these aliens as saviors of our planet and species, but they also thus deny the current scientific paradigm of Darwinian evolution. They do not believe that we are mere cosmic accidents but are the result of intelligent design by some faraway cosmic benefactors. Ironically, they thus share something in common with people of faith who also believe that we are not a cosmic accident but are a result of intelligent design by a loving Creator called God. Some of the privileges of being the Editor of UFO Digest come in receiving invitations to attend important UFO-related public events. Among these are requests to view films and TV documentaries touching the cutting edge of UFOlogy and the subject of ETAP, Extraterrestrial Abduction Phenomena. One film that stood out on the list was a film directed by Thomas R. Dickens, a young director with vast experience in special effects. In the articles called, Targeting UFO/ET Corporation X, I had suggested that one area of the alien resource trade that Corporation X might find highly profitable could be considered a modern alien version of the slave trade that flourished in the British American colonies and later in the American Republic . AS SOPHISTICATED TECHNOLOGICALLY as we have become on this planet, we are still pretty much in the dark when it comes to matters of our own existence. Where do we come from? What is our purpose here? What happens after we die? These are the age-old questions. Science attempts to answer the first question only and doesn't yet know how to deal with the other two. Religion, in its many forms, provides as many "certain" answers to all three questions, but with little or no evidence. A multitude of other philosophies have their own ideas. Remember the song, "Men In Black" by Will Smith? What a great song, especially as the theme song for the movie in which he co-starred, 'MIB'. It was catchy, novel, and forced even the stodgiest of personalities to tap their feet. But, it was much more than that. It stated a lot of truth. For instance, it stated the official position of the UFO/ET secret keepers: 'Cause what you think you saw, you did not see. That is precisely the official position, and has been since shortly after the Roswell crash in 1947. It started with General Ramey's actions just hours after the Army's press release that they were in possession of a crashed flying disc. Ramey held a press conference in which he had Major Jesse Marcel, Intelligence Officer for the Army Air Force's 509th Bomb Group, appear for reporters with scraps from a weather balloon while Ramey declared it was all just a case of mistaken identification of crash debris.
