Byrd of the United States Navy, cannot be understood nor make any sense according to old geographical theories that the earth is a solid sphere with a fiery core, on which both North and South Poles are fixed points. Some of the privileges (and perks) of being the Editor of UFO Digest come in receiving invitations to attend important UFO-related public events. Among these are requests to view films and TV documentaries touching the cutting edge of UFOlogy and the subject of ETAP, Extraterrestrial Abduction Phenomena.

Earlier this fall, thanks to Stephen Thompson Communications, I was introduced to some very creative, independent filmmakers, who presented their films for critical review during The New York International Independent Film & Video Festival (NYIIFVF), held in New York City from September 20th through September 26th. 2008.

One film that stood out on the list was a film directed by Thomas R. Dickens, a young director with vast experience in special effects. Dickens' sci-fi production won the NYIIFVF Best Science Fiction Feature Award earlier this year's festival in L.A.

"ALIEN GREY: ZONE-X " SCREENS TO FULL HOUSE IN NEW YORK

After recently winning the Best Feature Film Genre Award: Best Sci-Fi from the Los Angeles arm of the NYIF&V Festival (Los Angeles, CA - October, 2008), Thomas R. Dickens, brought his exciting new film "Alien Grey: Zone-X" to the NYC arm of the festival. ALIEN GREY: ZONE-X screened to a full house at the VILLAGE EAST CINEMA on Wednesday, September 24, at 8:00pm

Independent filmmakers, who are among the most creative artists in the film industry today, are now employing digital cameras and cutting-edge special effects to tackle the subject of UFOs, alien abduction, the occult and paranormal abilities in novel ways. Each of these subtopics is addressed by Dickens in "Alien Grey; Zone X, "a fun, entertaining adventure film set in an unnamed desert of the Great American southwest, apparently from the films theme and contents, at the crossroads between Roswell and The Skinwalker Ranch.
