Tentatively titled “Joint Recon Study Group,” the story brings viewers into the world of a classified project involving a military and intelligence group of ten men and women based in San Diego, say the creators and writers of the series proposal.
Currently, the creative team working on the series is completing the concept, storylines, character development and related materials.
In the series proposal, the group conducts research and investigations into special and sometimes unusual phenomena that are mysteriously linked to U.S. national security.
This special team is a combination of military officers from the Navy, Army, Marines and Air Force as well as intelligence agency personnel and civilians.
Joint Recon Study Group members tackle missions that include ESP and "remote viewing," UFOs, crop circles, DNA genetics mysteries, ancient American Indian legends and prophecies, government dolphin research, strange discoveries in modern physics and other phenomena from the scientific to the metaphysical.
DEVELOPMENT CONCEPTS
“The team pursues answers to ancient questions and modern mysteries as part of their mission to protect America and help create a better world,” says writer Steve Hammons. The original story concept for the series is based on his two novels and feature film screenplay.
“From their office on a San Diego Navy base, members of the group often go to interesting locations as part of their investigations … places like Sedona, Arizona,” Hammons explains.
“We envision a series that includes elements of several very successful programs, yet is a distinctly new concept in the way these ideas are brought together,” project developer C. F. York said.
