Description

The Nation Aeronautical and Space Administration (NASA), Stennis Center, MS is requesting information to identify possible sources to provide a Tug Boat to meet the requirements listed at Attachment 1. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for informational purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or commit the government to award a contract now or in the future. Submitting information for this RFI is voluntary and participants will not be compensated. Respondents to this RFI should describe their ability to meet and/or exceed the attached requirements. Respondents should also address the following: 1. Is your company capable of building the boat required? 2. Has your company built similar boats in the past? How many and when? 3. Design of the boat will be required. Do you have a Marine Architect with your company or would you have to hire one? 4. How soon can construction start after contract award? 5. Is there a timeframe between now and the end of 2008 when construction could not start due to present workload? 6. What is the estimated delivery timeframe for this boat after contract award? After start of construction? 7. What is the estimated price range of this boat? Electronic (e-mail) or paper copies should be submitted to the Stennis Space Center Office of Procurement. All copies must be clearly labeled Proprietary/Competition or Sensitive Information (if applicable) on the cover sheets and on each applicable page. Proprietary/Competition sensitive information will be protected from disclosure.
