ITT Space Systems appoints Edward Kelly as director of image information solutions for tactical development

ROCHESTER, N.Y. June 26, 2009 - ITT Corporation announced that Edward N. Kelly has joined ITT Space Systems Division as director of image information solutions for tactical development. He will be responsible for assessing business trends and customer requirements along with identifying and helping capture new business for the Image Information Solutions business unit.

Prior to joining ITT, Kelly served as a U.S. Naval Officer, eventually carrying out his last tour of duty with the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) by directing and developing cutting edge technologies and their insertion into the overhead collection architecture.

Kelly has 22 years of experience including leading and managing a wide range of Intelligence and Department of Defense groups that focused on improving support to their respective communities. Kelly served as director of the ISR Center, and recently worked as collection manager and deputy force cryptologist for the Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command before starting with ITT Defense as a program manager at their Advanced Engineering and Sciences Division.

Kelly received a master's degree in technology management from the University of Maryland and a bachelor's degree in physics from Jacksonville University, as well as a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech.
